A Passion for Transformation

Michael A. Pringle II is an international industry advisor, master educator, and platform artist who understood the power of beauty from an early age. A South Carolina native, he first found his love for the craft during his school years — long before it became a career.

When asked what sparked his interest in the industry, Michael explains it simply:

"It was the physical transformation created when enhancing the slightest attributes of a person, and the shockwave of confidence that came afterwards. It's an unexplainable feeling, and I'm thankful I get to take part in such an experience."

That instinct — that beauty is really about confidence — has guided every stage of his career, from the salon floor to the international stage.

Global Reach

A Global Platform

Michael's talent has allowed him to build relationships with leading members of the hair and beauty industry and to travel the world sharing his techniques with people of many cultures and backgrounds.

His work has appeared on the cover of South Korea's top foreigners' magazine, NEH, and on the platforms of the Bronner Brothers International Hair Show, the Hair Etc. Convention of South Carolina, and Millie Lewis Models & Talent Agency in North Charleston — alongside countless print and commercial projects across the United States and Southeast Asia. Yet it was his humbling work within his own community that grounded him and gave him the diligence to take his place in the industry.

Education & Credentials

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the College of Charleston, simultaneously completing an Associate Degree in Business and Cosmetology at Trident Technical College — both in Charleston, South Carolina.

Years later, his time at Trident came full circle. Today he serves as one of the college's premier Certified Cosmetology Instructors, where his goal is to give students hands-on experience and classroom skills that go well beyond basic cosmetology practice. Beyond standard cosmetology, his instructional expertise includes:

  • Curriculum Development

  • Teaching Methods

  • Pedagogical Theory

  • Student Evaluation

Platform Artist

Michael is also a highly sought-after platform stylist. In the beauty industry, the platform artist is a rockstar among hairdressers — part educator, communicator, salesperson, and entertainer — performing on stage at industry trade shows to showcase technique, tools, and products. It's a role that combines everything Michael does best: teaching, performing, and elevating the craft.
